"When we first moved to Door County in 2000, there were few Pelicans around, but no many. Over the years, they have increased and are at most of the bays and beaches. They are often sitting in groups on many of the little islands and rock piles in the water. When i did boat tour's we had the most fun watching them catch fish or sitting in groups in the water.

This is an oil painting where I was playing with making the Pelicans in colors and yet still look white. I think it gives each one more of a personality and life."
