"My favorite spot is in the back yard along Hidden Spring creek. In the 40's it was a stream that came from Eagle harbor and the trout would come up to spawn in the pond next to us. The building of the highway kind of screwed that up, but we keep watching.

I used water-based oil paints which are the same as oils but Clean with soap and water. I often use the pallet knife and glazing techniques to create more depth. I often use a complimentary color for the initial background to add more life/color into the painting. Everything I do leads me to another idea to try. I consider it constantly growing and I love it." -Marcia Nickols
