"These paintings are what I do when I'm trying to figure out new ideas, techniques and different media that I can use in my paintings. I really feel this is when I'm the most creative and challenging myself to grow. I love breaking rule, trying new combinations and exploring new ideas. After teaching art for 36 years and continuing teaching a the Clearing, I am very aware of 'how to do it' but I want to see how far I can push my ideas and keep growing." -Marcia Nickols
