This is very different for me because I started with saran wrap layered over a painted background, letting the paint set, pulling off the saran and starting creating from what I saw on the canvas. I felt this quiet mood full of lighted areas. I felt the mood, the water, the boats and the egret. This painting came from my soul as I worked on it and it grew.

I used water-based oil paints which are the same as oils but Clean with soap and water. I often use the pallet knife and glazing techniques to create more depth. I often use a complimentary color for the initial background to add more life/color into the painting. Everything I do leads me to another idea to try. I consider it constantly growing and I love it." -Marcia Nickols
