Agatized gastropod fossils are prehistoric snail or mollusk(gastropod) shell that has undergone a process where its organic material is replaced by silica, specifically chalcedony or agate. These fossils, often dating back over 50-100 million years, are highly durable. 

Metaphysically these fossils are associated with grounding, ancient wisdom, and emotional stability.

They are commonly found in sedimentary rock layers worldwide, with notable examples coming from regions in Morocco and the U.S.
