A walk along the sand dunes and I found these guys getting ready for a swim. It was a beautiful fall afternoon and not many visitors were at Dunes Park on the fourth, but this great sunset lit the sky in Eagle Harbor as the sun was going down to get ready for the night and the celebration.

I used water-based oil paints which are the same as oils but Clean with soap and water. I often use the pallet knife and glazing techniques to create more depth. I often use a complimentary color for the initial background to add more life/color into the painting. Everything I do leads me to another idea to try. I consider it constantly growing and I love it." -Marcia Nickols
